In 1999, he won third place in the Euroleague Final Four with the Galatasaray Women's Basketball Team so a team from Turkey won third place for the first time. Continued in this position until 2002, and won 3 Turkish Championships and won 3 Turkey Cups. Between 2003-2012, he was the head coach of Darüşşafaka, Anadolu Efes, and many other teams abroad. From 2012 to 2016 he served as head coach at Galatasaray Women's Basketball Team and won two Turkish Championships. In 2014 by the lead of Ekrem Memnun, Galatasaray Women's Basketball Team won the Euroleague Championship and it is considered the greatest achievement in the history of Turkish basketball. Between 2015-2018, he served as the head coach of the Turkish National Women's Basketball Team and participated in 2 European Championships, 1 World Cup, and Rio 2016 Olympics.
He is one of the first names that comes to mind in Turkey about athletes training with his successful career.

Hilal Yazıcı Atılay graduated from Yıldız Technical University - Computer Science Engineering. After starting her career at Netaş, she joined Turkcell Group in 1997.
